Team Building Event GSK
Old Town welcomes visitors with a unique blend of history, culture and a lively cityscape – the perfect setting for discovering things together. On July 12, 2023 at 4:30 p.m. I had the pleasure of guiding a Geocaching event for 21 employees from GSK as a CityHunters team guide in Old Town.
Our group met centrally at Max-Joseph-Platz, where I gave everyone a warm welcome and a brief rundown of the plan. After splitting into four teams, participants received a tablet with our app and a short introduction so everyone could start the challenge safely and with enthusiasm. A central meeting point like this is ideal for a team building experience in Old Town and makes for a relaxed start.
Then it was off: the teams set out independently to explore the city center. Along the route we passed landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, the New Town Hall and the Deutsches Museum – stops that not only inspired awe but also offered exciting puzzles and team tasks. Points were awarded for correct solutions and creative collaboration. The competitive spirit and the great mood produced plenty of fun and authentic team dynamics.
During the tour I stayed reachable by phone in case questions or small hurdles came up. For the most part, however, the teams were on their own, which encouraged collaborative problem solving and genuine team building experience in Old Town. The lovely weather added to the enjoyment and made the time in the city especially pleasant.
After two and a half hours we met again at Max-Joseph-Platz for the awards ceremony. The excitement was high, but in the end everyone was celebrated: each participant received a personalized certificate as a keepsake of the shared achievement. Moments like these strengthen cohesion – that is exactly what CityHunters and our approach to a team building experience in Old Town are about.
It was a delightful, moving afternoon that beautifully combined work and city discovery. GSK demonstrated how much energy and creativity a team can bring – and Old Town provided the perfect backdrop for this shared experience.
