Team Building Event Zentrum für Pränatalmedizin an der Elbe
The 18 participants from the Prenatal Medicine Center on the Elbe met on July 7, 2023 at 4:00 PM for a shared Geocaching event, full of curiosity and excitement for an active team building event.
As a CityHunters team guide I welcomed the group at the square in front of Wandrahmsteg in the Old Town city center, gave a short introduction and divided them into three motivated teams. After a brief briefing on the schedule and the technology, the teams set off with their tablets. This is how the perfect team building experience always begins for us in Old Town: clear rules, exciting tasks and plenty of freedom to let the group play to its strengths.
The route led the teams through well-known and hidden corners of Old Town – past the Elbphilharmonie, through the atmospheric Speicherstadt and by impressive buildings like the Chilehaus. At each stop there were puzzles and team challenges that awarded points when solved creatively and correctly. The teams were on their own, but I was reachable by phone in case of questions or technical problems.
A lively dynamic emerged quickly: communication, joint problem-solving and little aha moments shaped the two hours. That is exactly what makes the team building experience in Old Town so valuable – the combination of movement, shared successes and the city as an inspiring backdrop. Laughter, strategic discussions and simply experiencing the city noticeably brought the colleagues closer together.
After 120 minutes everyone gathered again at the square in front of Wandrahmsteg for the award ceremony. In good weather the best team performance was celebrated and the day ended with satisfied faces. Events like this show how easily a team building experience in Old Town can be combined with fun and discovery.
As a team guide I am always impressed to see how quickly individuals turn into a successful team. Geocaching in Old Town remains an exhilarating way to rediscover the city and to come away from a team building event strengthened together as a staff.
