Team Building Event Ankerland Trauma-Therapiezentrum gGmbH
Old Town is a city full of discoveries that perfectly fits our motto: Experience Old Town in a whole new way! On July 5, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. I welcomed, as a CityHunters team guide, a cheerful group from Ankerland Trauma-Therapiezentrum gGmbH to a Geocaching event filled with puzzles, collaboration, and movement through the city center.
The 15 participants met at the back of the main church St. Petri. After a brief introduction the three teams received their tablets with the preinstalled CityHunters app; I explained the format, the clues, and was of course reachable by phone throughout the tour. And so our activity began: a true team building experience in Old Town where every contribution counted.
Then off they went: teams set out to explore hidden corners of the city and collect points. Whether creative team tasks, tricky puzzles, or tracking down small hints, the competition for the highest score kept energy and excitement high. The participants were on their own but quickly found a good rhythm and supported one another, which was at the heart of the team building experience in Old Town.
Along the route we passed charming backdrops like the Speicherstadt and the Chilehaus, with the Elbphilharmonie always providing an inspiring view. Between historic alleys and modern vantage points there were plenty of laughs and surprising aha moments — exactly what good team building experience in Old Town is all about.
The weather cooperated: decent, with sunny stretches alternating with a light breeze, which made the tour pleasant. After about two and a half hours all teams met again at the back of the main church St. Petri for the joint awards ceremony. Tension ran high during the scoring, but the mood remained very positive — winners and runners-up alike celebrated the shared experience.
As team guide it was wonderful to see communication, creativity, and togetherness grow. Geocaching in Old Town combines sightseeing with team challenges and creates lasting memories. If you are planning your next company event, this kind of mix of adventure and collaboration is a great way to recharge.
