Team Building Event T-Systems International
Our iPad Tour combines modern technology with playful discovery, giving team spirit a lasting boost.
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Tour on July 5, 2023 at 2:00 PM for seven colleagues from T-Systems International. The meeting point was the back of the main church St. Petri, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters app.
Then off they went: the participants explored Old Town on their own, motivated by a friendly rivalry to collect the most points. The tasks were varied—ranging from tricky puzzles and creative team tasks to observation-based challenges at the city’s landmarks. The app connected the teams live, displayed the scores and added an extra dose of motivation and excitement.
The team building experience in Old Town showed its best side that afternoon: collaborative problem solving, quick coordination and many cheerful moments while exploring the Speicherstadt, admiring the Elbphilharmonie and passing the Chilehaus. The mood was optimistic and focused at the same time, exactly the mix that brings a team building experience in Old Town to life.
Although the teams were working independently during the tour, I was reachable by phone at all times to assist with questions or technical issues. The weather was pleasant, with mild sunshine and clear skies contributing to an all-around positive experience.
After three hours everyone met again at the back of the main church St. Petri for the awards ceremony. It was great to see individual ideas turn into joint solutions and how much the playful competition encouraged team cohesion. Moments like these are the heart of a team building experience in Old Town.
For me as a team guide this event remains a memorable example of how city discovery, high-tech and teamwork can combine to create a lasting experience. Anyone looking for a team building experience in Old Town will find our iPad Tour to be an entertaining, motivating and bonding time — and perhaps afterwards the group will head to a restaurant to unwind and end the day together.
