Team Building Event Fielmann GmbH
Perfect summer weather accompanied our iPad Tour and set a great mood from the very beginning.
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of welcoming a group of 21 colleagues from Fielmann GmbH in Salzburg on July 8, 2023 at 6:30 p.m. We met in Hofstallgasse, a central spot where I greeted the teams and gave a short introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters App. The combination of history, culture and modern technology immediately sparked curiosity and set the tone for the experience ahead.
The participants were split into four teams, each receiving an iPad as the hub for their high-tech Scavenger Hunt. The groups set off independently to explore the Old Town, earn points by solving puzzles and tackle creative team tasks. The CityHunters App linked the teams in real time, displayed interim results and kept the competition exciting and transparent.
During the tour the teams were completely on their own — ideal for promoting collaboration, communication and strategic thinking. I remained reachable by phone the whole time in case of questions or technical issues, providing reassurance without disrupting the groups' dynamics. This format is an excellent example of a team building experience in Salzburg: playful, active and unifying.
The route passed some of the city’s most beautiful spots; highlights like Hohensalzburg Fortress, Salzburg Cathedral and Mirabell Palace provided impressive backdrops for the tasks and produced plenty of aha moments. Such stops make a team building experience in Salzburg particularly effective, because they bring culture and camaraderie together.
After about an hour and 45 minutes all groups returned to Hofstallgasse for the joint awards ceremony. Spirits were high as the winning team received medals — a special moment that celebrated the collective effort and team spirit.
For me it was a thoroughly successful event: cheerful participants, lots of teamwork and a genuine team building experience in Salzburg. Evenings like this show how well adventure, competition and cooperation fit together and how lasting the memories can be.
