Team Building Event PAYBACK GmbH
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of leading an energetic Murder Mystery Geocaching with 16 participants from PAYBACK GmbH on July 5, 2023 at 11:45 a.m. The meeting point was Max-Joseph-Platz, a perfect starting spot for our city adventure. After a brief introduction, colleagues were split into three teams and equipped with the app and tablets that guided them to the next clues and crime scenes.
Even though the weather gave us a few wet surprises at first, the mood it created sparked conversation and togetherness rather than slowing us down. Rain and fresh air added atmosphere to the tour and strengthened team spirit, the perfect foundation for a successful team building experience in Old Town. The teams set off motivated to compete for the most points.
Along the route the groups discovered familiar sights like the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum and the New Town Hall, seeing Old Town from a fresh perspective. Our challenges combined tricky puzzles with active team tasks that demanded collaboration, creativity and communication. Points were awarded for correct answers and successful team actions.
During the entire two and a half hours, the groups were largely on their own and could focus completely on their strategy. Of course I was reachable by phone at any time in case questions came up or technical support was needed. That sense of freedom in the game was an important ingredient for a genuine team building experience in Old Town.
At the agreed time all teams returned to Max-Joseph-Platz for a joint awards ceremony. The excitement over solved cases and the joy of shared experiences were clearly front and center. The points tally made it clear: it was not just about winning, but about shared success and strengthening the sense of togetherness.
In conclusion, this event was a great example of how much fun a team building experience in Old Town can be. Excitement, city discovery and team spirit — a combination that leaves a lasting impression and brought colleagues closer together.
