Team Building Event NewFinance Mediengesellschaft mbH
On a bright sunny day we started our iPad Tour promptly at 1:00 PM — a perfect day for a team building experience in Old Town.
As the CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming the group from NewFinance Mediengesellschaft mbH. Twelve eager participants met at Max-Joseph-Platz, received a brief introduction to the CityHunters app and the iPads, and were then split into two teams. The sense of anticipation was palpable: everyone looked forward to the challenge and to discovering Old Town in a new way.
The tour combined modern high-tech fun with playful city exploration — exactly in line with our concept for a team building experience in Old Town. The teams navigated independently to various stations, solved puzzles, tackled creative team tasks, and collected points. Observation, communication and a bit of strategy came into play. I remained reachable by phone throughout the route in case any questions or minor technical issues arose.
Old Town showed itself at its best. Along well-known sites such as the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum and the Neues Rathaus, participants discovered architecture, anecdotes and viewpoints that are easily overlooked on a typical guided tour. The combination of culture, history and interactive challenges made the experience especially vivid.
The competition added extra momentum: both teams cheered each other on, exchanged strategies in the app's live chat and pushed each other toward creative solutions. It wasn't just about points, but above all about shared moments of success and new conversations among colleagues — exactly what we mean by an effective team building experience in Old Town.
After three hours everyone met back at Max-Joseph-Platz for the award ceremony. Together we celebrated, laughed and looked back on the highlights. The winning team received well-deserved applause, but the real prize was the strengthened sense of togetherness.
Events like this show that an iPad Tour in Old Town combines technology, team spirit and urban curiosity — and stays with participants as a shared memory for a long time.
