Team Building Event halpy GmbH
The event concept combined Geocaching, puzzle fun and focused teamwork — that was how our evening began as CityHunters team guide for halpy GmbH in Lübeck.
On June 2, 2023 at 5:00 PM, 13 participants met me at the Schrangen, our central meeting point in the old town. After a short, motivating welcome and an introduction to the schedule and game mechanics, we split the group into three teams. Each person received a tablet with the CityHunters app preinstalled; I explained how to solve the tasks and what to watch out for so that the fun would not be lost.
The tour through Lübeck provided the perfect backdrop for a team building experience in Lübeck: historic alleyways, unexpected corners and exciting stations invited exploration. Along the way the teams passed well-known sights such as the Holstentor, St. Marys Church and the St. Anne Museum Quarter. At every station the groups were left to their own devices and competed in a friendly rivalry for the most points — points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and creative team challenges that both required and encouraged communication and collaboration.
I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case technical questions or task clarifications arose. That allowed us to ensure all teams felt well supported without interrupting the competition. The weather cooperated and boosted the good mood: a sunny evening, pleasant temperatures and lots of laughter on the streets of Lübeck — ideal for an active team building experience in Lübeck.
After three hours all groups met again at the Schrangen for the joint awards ceremony. When the points were tallied it became clear that it was less about simply winning and more about the experience, the shared aha moments and strengthening team spirit. The team building experience in Lübeck showed its best side that evening — exciting, connecting and lasting. I am already looking forward to the next adventure with new teams in this wonderful city.
