Team Building Event NORD/LB
Hanover always shows a lively and surprising side.
On May 16, 2023 at 2:15 PM I had the pleasure of guiding a Geocaching event for 48 employees of NORD/LB as a CityHunters team guide. The meeting point was Friedrichswall, where I warmly welcomed the groups and gave a brief overview of the plan. After teams were formed, every participant received a tablet with the CityHunters app preinstalled and a short briefing so each group was well prepared for the city tour.
Energized in eight teams, we set off: our route led participants through central corners of Hanover. Along the way there were exciting challenges, tricky puzzles and creative team tasks that earned points. The groups rediscovered landmarks like the New Town Hall, the Market Church and the Leineschloss — an ideal way to combine a team building experience in Hanover with local sightseeing. The teams worked independently and competed in a friendly contest for the highest score.
I stayed reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues came up. The weather cooperated, which helped keep the mood both upbeat and focused. It was impressive to see how differently teams played to their strengths: some scored by quick reasoning, others by creative solutions in the team tasks. Moments like these make a team building experience in Hanover so valuable — shared experiences strengthen cohesion and communication for the long run.
After three hours all teams returned to Friedrichswall for the awards ceremony. Anticipation was high, followed by lively conversations about the best finds and the tour's most memorable aha moments. Events like this show how vibrant and effective a team building experience in Hanover can be: fun, competition and shared discovery all in one.
As a guide it was a great pleasure to accompany the NORD/LB teams and see how different personalities came together to deliver real team performance. Geocaching blends exploration and cooperation — and leaves a positive impression long after the day is over.
