Team Building Event Apex Tool Group GmbH
The CityHunters event concept combines modern technology with city exploration, turning a team building experience in Ellwangen into an interactive activity that promotes fun and togetherness.
On May 12, 2023 at 2:30 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming 26 colleagues from Apex Tool Group GmbH as their team guide for an iPad Tour in Ellwangen at the market square. After a brief introduction to the CityHunters app and how to use the iPads, we split the group into five motivated teams. Each team received an iPad as their hub — navigation, tasks and live scoring all ran through the app.
The teams then set off independently to explore the town: narrow lanes, the Fürstpropstei Ellwangen, Schloss ob Ellwangen and parts of the Basilica of St. Vitus were among the stops where creative challenges and tricky puzzles awaited. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks. Throughout the tour the groups stayed in competition with one another, and I was available by phone in case of technical questions or clarifications.
The weather was cooperative and provided pleasant conditions for exploring — ideal for an energetic team building experience in Ellwangen. The blend of history, culture and modern technology produced plenty of laughs, aha moments and genuine team achievements. Alongside the competitive element, communication, strategy and mutual support were at the center — exactly what makes a good team building event in Ellwangen.
After about three hours we met for the awards ceremony in front of the Basilica of St. Vitus. Spirits were high as the winning team received their medals and everyone looked back on the afternoon's highlights. As a team guide it was a pleasure to see how fully the group engaged with one another. Team building experience in Ellwangen succeeds here in a playful, lasting and joyful way — an afternoon that will be remembered fondly.
