Team Building Event PHOENIX CONTACT Electronics GmbH
Perfect spring weather accompanied us and set a great mood right from the start.
As the CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of welcoming 31 colleagues from PHOENIX CONTACT Electronics GmbH in Bremen on May 8, 2023, at 5:00 p.m. We met at the Wüstestätte, where we briefly got to know each other and I introduced everyone to using the iPads and the CityHunters App. After the briefing the participants were split into five teams — then it was on your iPads, ready, go!
Our iPad Tour playfully combined modern technology with Bremen’s rich history. The teams navigated the city center on their own, discovered well-known sites like Bremen Cathedral, the Town Hall, and the Town Musicians of Bremen, and solved interactive tasks along the way. Fun was the main focus: puzzles, creative team tasks, and little challenges offered plenty of opportunities to see new sides of colleagues and to develop solutions together. This exact mix is what makes our team building experience in Bremen so valuable.
The CityHunters App was the hub: it displayed the tasks, tracked points, and provided a live overview of the standings. Teams were largely on their own and in friendly competition during the tour, and I was reachable by phone if technical questions or uncertainties arose. That way every group could act independently without losing the reassurance that support would be available if needed.
After about two hours all groups met back at the Wüstestätte for the joint awards ceremony. The atmosphere was celebratory, the results impressive, and it was wonderful to see how much the experience strengthened team bonds. Moments like these show how effective a team building experience in Bremen can be: it promotes communication, creativity, and shared successes.
For me as a guide it was an all-round successful event — an hour full of commitment, laughter, and team spirit in the beautiful city of Bremen.
