Team Building Event ALDI
Eleven motivated colleagues from ALDI met on April 26, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the flea market in Nuremberg, ready for an exciting Murder Mystery Geocaching with CityHunters.
After a brief welcome and introduction, participants were split into two teams. Each team received a tablet with our custom app showing the cases and stops. Thus began the hunt through Nuremberg's city center — a real experience for anyone who wants to actively shape a team building experience in Nuremberg.
The route took the teams past well-known landmarks like Nuremberg Castle, the Albrecht Dürer House and St. Lorenz Church. At each stop they collected clues, solved puzzles and completed team challenges. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks and clever cooperation, combining competitive spirit with fun and a shared strategy. This format shows how a team building experience in Nuremberg can succeed in a playful way.
During the roughly three-hour tour the teams organized themselves independently — the app guided them, the puzzles were demanding and the atmosphere remained positive. I was available by phone as the team guide for questions or minor issues but deliberately stayed in the background so the groups could work out their own solutions. This mix of autonomous investigation and supportive accompaniment makes our Murder Mystery Geocaching a successful team building event in Nuremberg.
The weather cooperated and contributed to the good mood: sunny stretches and pleasant temperatures made exploring the city especially enjoyable. The ALDI colleagues showed great commitment, communication and humor — exactly the elements that sustainably strengthen a team building experience in Nuremberg.
After three hours everyone met back at the flea market for the awards ceremony. While exchanging original solutions and surprising discoveries it was clear how much the event had fostered togetherness. Activities like this combine fun, city exploration and genuine team spirit — an experience that leaves a lasting positive impression.
