Team Building Event Swisslog GmbH
Our Murder Mystery Geocaching blends city exploration, puzzle fun and teamwork into an engaging event concept that sparks curiosity and brings people together.
On April 17, 2023 at 3:30 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming 16 colleagues from Swisslog GmbH at Theo-Burauen-Platz as their team guide. After a brief introduction and an explanation of the game flow, participants were split into three teams. Each person received a tablet with our custom app displaying the cases, crime scenes and clues — technology meets adventure, making familiar places feel new.
The teams then set off to explore Cologne from an entirely new perspective. Along the route we encountered landmarks such as Cologne Cathedral, Museum Ludwig and the Hohenzollern Bridge, which suddenly became the scenes of exciting investigations. Everywhere they had to collect clues, solve puzzles and complete team challenges to earn points.
During the tour the groups were largely on their own, competing in good spirits for the highest score. I remained reachable by phone throughout the game and offered support when needed — a quick call was all it took to clear up minor uncertainties without disrupting play.
The weather cooperated, spirits were high and the teams showed plenty of creativity and team spirit. It is always a pleasure to see how a team building experience in Cologne brings people together, encourages communication and reveals new sides of colleagues.
After 2.5 hours everyone reconvened at Theo-Burauen-Platz for the awards ceremony. Achievements were celebrated and the sense of camaraderie praised — a lovely conclusion to a lively team building event.
This experience once again demonstrated why a team building experience in Cologne is so appealing: the city provides the perfect backdrop for compelling challenges, fosters collaboration and creates lasting memories.
