Team Building Event Hoyer Handel GmbH
Hamburg always has new corners and stories to discover — and that is exactly what I experienced on March 30, 2023, with a fantastic group.
As a CityHunters team guide I welcomed 53 participants from Hoyer Handel GmbH at Millerntorplatz at 3:00 PM. After a brief introduction and a quick rundown on how to use the CityHunters app, we split the group into 10 teams. The mood was immediately upbeat and full of expectation: everyone was looking forward to an active team building experience in Hamburg.
With tablets and clear tasks in hand, the teams set off independently through the city. Our route took them to well-known and charming spots — past Miniatur Wunderland, the historic sailing ship Rickmer Rickmers and along sections of the lively Reeperbahn. The teams combined riddle rounds with creative group challenges and scored points for every correctly completed task.
During the tour the groups competed to earn the most points, but they could call me at any time if something was unclear or they needed support. This mix of independent puzzle fun with accessible guidance is what makes our team building experience in Hamburg so effective: self-organization paired with a shared sense of achievement.
The weather cooperated and added to the good spirits — ideal conditions to explore the city together and boost team spirit. It was impressive to see how differently the teams approached the tasks: some solved riddles in no time, while others scored with creative photo stops and collaborative challenges.
After three hours everyone met back at Millerntorplatz for the award ceremony. The excitement was high and the laughter even higher — moments like these show why a team building experience in Hamburg is so valuable. For many, the memory of searching for hidden clues and little discoveries around the city will linger.
As a guide I am always delighted to see how Geocaching in Hamburg brings teams together, creates shared experiences and injects fresh energy into everyday work life. A sunny afternoon full of fun, competition and genuine team cohesion — you could hardly ask for more for a team building event.
