Team Building Event DPAG
Dinkelsbühl enchants with its historic charm and well-preserved medieval buildings – a perfect setting for a team building experience in Dinkelsbühl. As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading an iPad Tour for colleagues from DPAG on March 9, 2023 at 4:00 PM.
We met at the Meiser Hotel on Neue Allee, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction to the CityHunters app and how to use the iPads. There were 17 participants in total, whom I divided into three teams. Each team received an iPad as the hub of the tour, and that’s how the adventure through the town center began.
During the tour the groups navigated the narrow streets on their own and discovered landmarks such as the old imperial town of Dinkelsbühl, St. George Church and the Deutsches Haus. At various stops they faced interactive puzzles and creative team challenges where points could be earned. In the CityHunters app the teams could compete in real time, check the score and encourage one another – a real boost for the team building experience in Dinkelsbühl.
I was available by phone for any questions throughout the route but deliberately stayed in the background so the teams could develop their own strategies. The weather cooperated and the mood was both lively and focused – ideal conditions for successful collaboration and lots of fun together.
After about two hours all groups met back at the Meiser Hotel to announce the results. At a small award ceremony the teams in first to third place each received medals and well-deserved applause. Those moments – celebrating together, sharing success and laughing – are exactly what makes a team building experience in Dinkelsbühl so valuable.
The iPad Tour combines history, technology and team spirit in a modern way: whether it was observation at the Spitalkirche Hl. Geist or creative problem solving in front of the Heilig-Geist-Spital, each station promoted cooperation and communication. It was an all-around successful team building event that the DPAG colleagues will remember for a long time.
