Team Building Event William Grant & Sons
The twelve participants from William Grant & Sons met on March 2, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Pelourinho do Porto full of anticipation, and I had the pleasure of guiding them as a CityHunters team guide through an exciting adventure.
Our iPad Tour in Porto began at this central meeting point: I welcomed the group, gave a brief introduction to using the iPads and the CityHunters app, and explained how the event would run. After a friendly division into two teams, each group received its device and the team building experience in Porto was underway.
The tour took the teams past iconic sights such as the Ponte Dom Luís I, Porto Cathedral and Porto São Bento station. Tasks appeared through the CityHunters app, scores were shown in real time, and the teams could measure themselves against each other via live chat. The blend of history, culture and modern technology made the Scavenger Hunt an extraordinary experience and clearly demonstrated how a team building experience in Porto can be playful and effective.
Over the course of about three hours the teams were left to their own devices, working on puzzles, solving creative challenges and collecting points for correctly completed team tasks. I stayed reachable by phone to help with any technical questions or uncertainties, so everyone could stay focused and enjoy the experience. The weather was perfect and added to the great atmosphere.
After three hours everyone reconvened at Pelourinho do Porto for the awards ceremony. The excitement was high as the winning team was announced and the winners received their well-deserved medals. Moments like these bring people together: they laugh, celebrate successes and strengthen bonds in a lasting way.
For me as a guide every event is a confirmation of how effective and entertaining a team building experience in Porto can be.
