Team Building Event Siemens AG
Nine motivated colleagues from Siemens AG met me at Hugenottenplatz on January 26, 2023 at 4:30 PM, ready for a shared adventure through Erlangen.
As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed the group, gave a brief overview of the plan and formed the teams — this time into two groups who would soon face off in a friendly competition. After a short briefing each team received a tablet with the CityHunters app preinstalled, so everyone was well prepared to work on the tasks independently while on the move.
The route led the teams across Erlangen city center. Along the way we passed familiar spots such as Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg, the Botanical Garden and the Huguenot Church — beautiful locations that provided the perfect backdrop for intriguing puzzles and creative team challenges. The focus was less on speed and more on clever thinking, communication and shared fun.
For two hours the teams were left to their own devices and collected points by correctly solving puzzles and successfully completing the team tasks. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour so I could quickly assist with questions or technical issues without interrupting group momentum.
The weather cooperated, creating a relaxed, sunny atmosphere — ideal conditions for a real team building experience in Erlangen. It was easy to see how collaboration deepened: ideas were shared, strategies adjusted and small successes celebrated together. Those moments are exactly what make our concept of team building experience in Erlangen so valuable.
After exactly two hours everyone reconvened at Hugenottenplatz for the awards ceremony. Excitement, laughter and recognition for one another's achievements shaped the closing round. The upbeat mood showed how much the teams had accomplished together — both in points and in their camaraderie.
Such Geocaching events combine city exploration, puzzle fun and genuine team building experience in Erlangen. As a guide it is always a pleasure to see how a shared experience brings colleagues closer together and injects fresh energy into everyday work.
