Team Building Event BST GmbH
Bielefeld combines historic architecture with a lively urban scene, making it the perfect setting for a creative team building event.
On January 9, 2023 at 4:00 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming 43 colleagues from BST GmbH to an iPad Tour in Bielefeld as a CityHunters team guide. We met at Altstaedter Kirchpark, where I greeted the group and gave a brief introduction to the iPads and our CityHunters app. The participants were split into six teams and off they went — team building experience in Bielefeld at its most exciting.
Our tour blends modern technology with city exploration, inviting teams to rediscover landmarks like the Sparrenburg, the Kunsthalle Bielefeld and the Neustädter Marienkirche in a playful way. Interactive challenges and puzzles at various stations put observation, communication and creativity to the test. Points were awarded for correctly solved riddles and successfully completed team tasks, keeping the competition tense until the end.
Over the two hours the teams were largely on their own, developing strategies, debating and playing to their strengths. The CityHunters app kept the groups connected in real time and displayed interim scores, making the contest tangible. As team guide I was available by phone in case questions came up or support was needed.
The weather cooperated and the mood was upbeat and motivated — just the right mix for lasting team building experience in Bielefeld. After about two hours all teams reconvened in Altstaedter Kirchpark for the awards ceremony, where successes were celebrated and experiences shared; it was clear the event had strengthened team cohesion.
As a team guide I always enjoy when an iPad Tour format is so much fun while also providing real value for the group.
