Team Building Event Diakonisches Werk Gladbeck Bottrop Dorsten
Sixteen colleagues from the Diakonisches Werk Gladbeck Bottrop Dorsten met promptly on October 27, 2025 at 12:00 PM on Hermannstraße in Gladbeck, ready for an exciting Murder Mystery Geocaching tour through the city center.
I welcomed the group as the team guide, gave a brief introduction and split the participants into three teams. Each team received a tablet with our app, which showed the different criminal cases and the locations in Gladbeck. The game led us to well-known places such as St. Lamberti, the Old Town Hall and the Gladbeck District Court — landmarks that quickly became the scenes of mysterious cases.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed against each other in a friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks; creativity, communication and speed paid off. I remained available by phone as the team guide in case questions or technical problems arose along the way.
The weather was pleasant — not perfect, but just right for an active afternoon in the city. The mood was consistently cheerful and focused: everyone enjoyed solving the puzzles and spending time together, a true example of a successful team building experience in Gladbeck. The mix of clue hunting, sightseeing and cooperative tasks noticeably strengthened team cohesion.
After three hours all teams met again on Hermannstraße for the awards ceremony. First place went to the team Die fünf fragezeichen des dw with 255 points. In second place was Csi gladbeck with 225 points, closely followed by Emilias detektive with 210 points. Congratulations to the winners and great praise to all teams for their effort and good spirits.
This Murder Mystery Geocaching experience once again showed how effective and entertaining a team building experience in Gladbeck can be.
