Team Building Event PAYBACK GmbH
The 15 colleagues from PAYBACK GmbH met with me, their CityHunters team guide, at Max-Joseph-Platz on October 17, 2025 at 1:00 PM and set off full of energy on our Murder Mystery Geocaching adventure.
As team guide I gave a short introduction and then the participants were split into three teams. Equipped with tablets and our special app, technology met adventure as the digital trail led the teams across Old Town, past landmarks such as the Frauenkirche, the Deutsches Museum and the New Town Hall. The stations turned the city into an exciting backdrop for an interactive murder mystery, where puzzles, clues and team tasks had to be solved.
During the tour the teams were on their own and directly competing for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks — collaboration, creativity and speed were essential. I was available by phone throughout the game in case of technical questions or uncertainties.
The weather cooperated and the mood was both lively and focused — exactly the right mix for an effective team building experience in Old Town. The participants discovered the city from a new perspective, laughed, discussed strategies and used their individual strengths to decode clues. Experiences like this not only strengthen team spirit, they also create shared memories that linger long after the office routine returns.
After exactly three hours all teams met again at Max-Joseph-Platz for the award ceremony. The tension was high: first place went to team Watsons with 345 points. In second place was Mandarin with 300 points, and third place went to Payback Lorians with 255 points. Congratulations to everyone involved — the shared success was celebrated properly.
