Team Building Event Genoverband e.V.
The 46 participants from Genoverband e.V. gathered on 15 October 2025 at 5:30 PM on Immermannstraße in Düsseldorf, eager and ready for a shared adventure.
As the CityHunters team guide, I welcomed the group, briefly explained the rules and divided the participants into nine teams. After a compact introduction to the format and the technology, the teams set off with tablets and the CityHunters app: authentic Geocaching combined with puzzles and creative team tasks. During the tour they were on their own, competing in a friendly contest; points were awarded for correctly solved challenges and good teamwork. I remained reachable by phone throughout in case any questions or minor issues came up.
In brilliant weather the groups experienced Düsseldorf from a lively perspective: between modern squares and historic corners the tasks led them to viewpoints with views of the Rhine Tower, to cultural highlights like the Museum Kunstpalast, and along the elegant Königsallee. In the process a genuine team building experience in Düsseldorf emerged naturally — solving problems together, laughing and discovering brought colleagues closer than any simple walk could.
After exactly two hours all teams gathered back on Immermannstraße for the awards ceremony. Particularly exciting: three teams reached the top score of 180 points — first place went to Just do peace, closely followed by Ronny and the girls and Lucky 7, who also scored 180 points. The mood at the prize giving was cheerful and proud, showing how well collaboration and creativity paid off.
This afternoon once again demonstrated how effective Geocaching is as a format for a team building experience in Düsseldorf: it combines fun, activity and strategic thinking and helps teams grow together in a whole new way. I look forward to the next groups who want to discover Düsseldorf with CityHunters — this is team building in Düsseldorf at its best.
