Team Building Event Jobcenter Braunschweig
The weather was perfect, sunny and pleasant—just the right mood for an active afternoon in Brunswick.
As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed 23 participants from the Jobcenter Brunswick on September 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM. We met at Platz der Deutschen Einheit, where I gave a short welcome, explained the schedule and divided the group into four teams. After a brief briefing the teams received tablets with our CityHunters app so the Geocaching adventure could begin.
The route led the teams across the city center past landmarks like Brunswick Cathedral, Dankwarderode Castle and the Brunswick Lion. Our challenges called for creativity, problem solving and good teamwork: solving puzzles, mastering small team tasks and uncovering hidden clues. In this way sightseeing naturally turned into a hands-on team building experience in Brunswick.
During the roughly two-hour Scavenger Hunt the teams were largely on their own and competed against each other in a friendly contest. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successful team tasks—a perfect recipe for boosting collaboration and communication. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed support.
After two and a half hours everyone returned to Platz der Deutschen Einheit for the awards ceremony. The tension was palpable as the results were announced: first place went to the team Brosis with 300 points, followed by Die flotten 6 with 270 points and Speedy Gonzales in third with 240 points. A great finale to an eventful afternoon!
This Geocaching event once again showed how well fun, adventure and a lasting team building experience can be combined in Brunswick. Whether historic buildings or hidden corners—the city provides an ideal backdrop to discover new things together and grow as a team.
I am already looking forward to the next time and to inspiring even more groups for active team building experience in Brunswick.
