Team Building Event Jobcenter Ostholstein
The weather was perfect. On September 24, 2025 at 3:00 PM I met the 15 participants from Jobcenter Ostholstein as their team guide at the agreed meeting point in Bleekergang in downtown Eutin — the perfect start for our Murder Mystery Geocaching and a real highlight for the team building experience in Eutin.
After a brief welcome and introduction, the participants were split into three teams. Each team received the key information about the app and the tasks: tablets guided them to various crime scenes where puzzles, team challenges and tricky clues awaited. Well-known spots such as Eutin Castle, Fasaneninsel and the Ostholstein Museum were seen in a new light — sights that made exploring the city especially exciting.
During the roughly two-and-a-half-hour tour the teams were on their own and competed in a friendly contest to earn the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for collaborative tasks that rewarded cooperation and creativity. I was available by phone the whole time to answer questions or offer small hints — yet the independent detective work encouraged plenty of initiative and motivation.
The atmosphere stayed positive throughout: laughter, aha moments and strategic discussions mixed as the groups moved through alleys and across squares. The Murder Mystery Geocaching became an intense experience that was not only fun but also genuinely useful for the team building experience in Eutin. The combination of puzzles, movement and local discovery created lasting shared memories.
After 2.5 hours all teams met back at the starting point in Bleekergang for the award ceremony. First place went to team Officer Doofy with 240 points, followed by TL-Supergang with 225 points and Die 08-15ers in third with 195 points. The joy over the results was celebrated just as much as the time spent together in the city.
It was an all-around successful event: an exciting mystery, lots of team spirit and real curiosity for discovery — exactly what makes the team building experience in Eutin so special. I am already looking forward to the next adventure with new groups in this beautiful town.
