Team Building Event VR Bank Augsburg-Ostallgäu eG
Kaufbeuren delights with its historic charm and lively streets – a perfect backdrop for exciting discoveries and group puzzle-solving.
As the team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of launching an iPad Murder Mystery Tour on 23.09.2025 at 2:00 PM for 35 participants from VR Bank Augsburg-Ostallgäu eG. The meeting point was at the VR Bank on Gutenberg Street, where I warmly welcomed the group and gave a brief introduction to the technology and the schedule. We then split the participants into five teams and sent them off on their investigative routes through the town.
The iPads guided the teams from station to station via a map, provided clues and posed tricky riddles. Teams had to interpret evidence correctly, complete group tasks and present a coherent investigation together. During the tour the teams were largely on their own and competed in a friendly contest for the highest score, while I remained reachable by phone in case any technical issue or question arose.
Our route passed some of Kaufbeuren’s most beautiful spots: from the Stadtmuseum Kaufbeuren to the impressive St. Blasius Church and on to the Trinity Church. These historic settings made the murder mystery experience especially atmospheric and showed how well the game and the townscape complement each other. The team building experience in Kaufbeuren takes on a unique character this way – exciting, motivating and full of memorable moments.
The weather was on our side, neither too hot nor too bad – ideal for staying active and having fun. After three hours all teams regrouped at the VR Bank on Gutenberg Street for the final awards ceremony. The atmosphere was jubilant, the winners were celebrated and every participant left with visible team achievements.
For me this day remains a great example of how the team building experience in Kaufbeuren not only strengthens collaboration but also brings joy and creates lasting memories. I’m already looking forward to the next tour and to showing even more groups the town from a fresh perspective.
