Team Building Event Stadtwerke Kempen GmbH
What a wonderful day — perfect weather for our investigations in Kamp-Lintfort!
As a team guide for CityHunters I welcomed the 13 participants from Stadtwerke Kempen GmbH promptly at 9:30 a.m. at the Wellings Parkhotel on Neuendickstraße. After a short greeting and introduction we explained the game: two teams, tablets with the special app, tricky cases and many exciting places around town. That was the start of our Murder Mystery Geocaching as a lively team building experience in Kamp-Lintfort.
The teams set off and explored Kamp-Lintfort in a completely new way. The app guided them to various crime scenes where clues had to be gathered and puzzles solved. The trail led them past Zeche Friedrich Heinrich, Bergwerk West and through the Alt-Siedlung Friedrich-Heinrich — familiar spots that became the settings for little detective stories. It was great to see colleagues debating, dividing tasks and finding solutions together.
During the tour the groups were on their own and competed in a friendly rivalry: points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and for team tasks completed together. I was available by phone the whole time to help quickly with questions or technical issues — safety and fun were equally important. This Murder Mystery Geocaching combines city discovery with team dynamics and is an effective team building experience in Kamp-Lintfort.
After three hours everyone met again at the Wellings Parkhotel for the award ceremony. I was delighted to announce the winning team Schimanski with 360 points — congratulations. In second place was team Holmes with 300 points. The atmosphere was lively, participants shared anecdotes and celebrated their shared successes.
This event clearly showed that team building experiences in Kamp-Lintfort are fun, encourage cooperation and let the city appear in a new light. I am already looking forward to the next adventure with a motivated group in Kamp-Lintfort.
