Team Building Event Augenärzte Gevelsberg Dr.Zarkesh
What a glorious late-summer day it was – perfect weather for an outdoor adventure!
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming 40 motivated participants from Augenärzte Gevelsberg Dr. Zarkesh to an exciting Geocaching event on September 6, 2025 at 2:00 PM. Our meeting point was the Maasboulevard in Maastricht, where we briefly explained the rules and formed the teams: six teams set off in search of treasure.
The theme was team building experience in Maastricht – and that is exactly what the colleagues experienced. After a short introduction the teams received tablets with the CityHunters app and headed out. The tasks led the groups to many charming spots around the city: past the Servaasbasiliek, over the St. Servatius Bridge and on to landmarks such as the Sint Janskerk and the Museum aan het Vrijthof.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed against each other in a friendly contest. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative execution of team tasks – just the ingredients that make a team building experience in Maastricht so effective. I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case of questions or technical issues.
After two hours everyone met back at the Maasboulevard for the award ceremony. The excitement was high: which team had scored the most points? The winning team Projekt x prevailed with 195 points and received well-deserved medals. In second place was Halber Sixpack with 180 points, followed by team Elite with 150 points.
As a guide it was especially rewarding to see how quickly collaboration and a positive atmosphere took hold. The mix of puzzles, short challenges and exploring Maastricht created many shared moments of success and plenty to talk about – exactly what good team building experience in Maastricht is about.
A thoroughly successful afternoon: smiling faces, fair competition and memories of a lively city. I am already looking forward to the next Geocaching event in Maastricht with new teams and new stories.
