Team Building Event MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Capital AG

Under bright sunshine on September 4, 2025 at 1:30 PM we set off on a fantastic adventure through Old Town.

As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed the 22 participants from MPC Münchmeyer Petersen Capital AG at Jungfernstieg. After a brief introduction and the division into five teams, each group received a tablet with our CityHunters app and a clear rundown of the schedule and technology. This is how every Geocaching event starts with us: a central meeting point, straightforward instructions, and then out into the city — a real opportunity to rediscover Old Town.

The route led the teams through the lively center and to some of the city's most exciting spots. At stations around the Speicherstadt, the Elbphilharmonie and the Hauptkirche St. Michaelis there were puzzles to crack, clues to uncover and creative tasks to complete. Coordinates, small challenges and hidden hints made the route both varied and informative. That mix is exactly what makes a team building experience in Old Town so special: sightseeing, puzzle fun and shared achievements all in one.

During the three hours the teams moved independently and competed in friendly rivalry for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks, with communication, problem solving and creativity counting heavily. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues arose.

After exactly three hours all groups returned to Jungfernstieg for the awards ceremony. With much applause and cheering the team Lost Places took first place with 210 points, followed by PalmailleHeros with 180 points and Shiphunters with 165 points. The shared enjoyment was obvious — winners and everyone else alike left with fresh impressions.

Events like this demonstrate how effective a team building experience in Old Town can be: playful, energizing and full of positive energy. As a team guide I already look forward to the next time we explore Old Town together and bring teams closer.
