Team Building Event sourc-e GmbH
The 22 participants from sourc-e GmbH met up on 29.08.2025 at 4:30 pm in good spirits at Theo-Burauen-Platz, ready for an active team building experience in Cologne.
As the team guide I gave a brief welcome, explained the plan and split everyone into teams — four groups got to know the tablets and the preinstalled CityHunters app. That’s how our concept began: Experience Cologne in a whole new way! After a short introduction we set off, the tablets leading the teams into the exciting world of Geocaching and opening an interactive discovery tour through the city center.
Along the route the teams passed famous sights like Cologne Cathedral, the Hohenzollern Bridge and the Museum Ludwig, as well as some hidden corners of the city. The tasks called for creative thinking, clever combinations and team spirit: solving puzzles, tackling small team challenges and finding hidden clues. That is how real team building experience in Cologne comes about — by working together, laughing and pitching in.
During the tour the teams were largely on their own, competing against each other in a friendly challenge. Points were awarded for correct answers and successfully completed tasks. I was reachable by phone throughout the route in case any questions or technical issues came up, and I supported and encouraged the teams remotely. The weather was pleasant — not perfectly sunny, but ideal for an action-packed city walk.
After three hours all teams returned to Theo-Burauen-Platz for the awards ceremony. Tension was high as the results were announced, and the winning team turned out to be Pink Pantha with 0 points. A reminder that team spirit and fun matter more than the numbers: a team building experience in Cologne works because it brings people together and creates shared memories.
