After a short briefing the teams received the necessary devices and instructions for the CityHunters app. I explained the process, the rules and the types of tasks: solving puzzles, completing small team challenges and finding hidden clues. Then we set off — each group worked independently and competed in a friendly way for the most points. I stayed reachable by phone throughout the tour in case of questions or technical problems.
The route led through the vibrant heart of Cologne and offered the chance to see familiar sights from a new perspective: from the impressive Cologne Cathedral to the lively Hohenzollern Bridge and on to interesting spots near the cathedral and the Museum Ludwig. The weather was kind — not too hot, with pleasant sunny moments and a few clouds to keep things fresh. This atmosphere added noticeably to the fun and good spirits; laughter and team spirit accompanied the groups at many stations. After three hours all teams met again on the Papal Terrace of Cologne Cathedral for the awards ceremony. The tension was high as the points were added up — and the winning team was Kraftklub with zero points. Despite the surprising total the focus remained clearly on fun: shared successes, creative solutions and many stories from the route.
