Team Building Event HOLBORN Europa Raffinerie GmbH
Under bright sunshine we enjoyed a thoroughly successful Murder Mystery Geocaching in Wilhelmshaven.
As the CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming an enthusiastic group of 18 people from HOLBORN Europa Raffinerie GmbH on 26.08.2025. The meeting point was Grenzstraße, where I gave a brief introduction and sent the three teams on their way. The excitement was palpable: a true team building experience in Wilhelmshaven, paired with a healthy competitive spirit.
Participants assumed the roles of investigators using tablets and our custom app. The tour took them past well known city landmarks such as the Kunsthalle Wilhelmshaven, Wilhelmshaven City Hall and the Christus- und Garnisonkirche, turning the team building experience in Wilhelmshaven into a real city adventure. At various stations they had to solve puzzles and complete team challenges to collect points. During the tour the teams operated independently and competed in good spirits for the highest score; I remained reachable by phone in case anyone needed assistance.
The combination of technology and adventure visibly strengthened team spirit: communication, problem solving and a sense of humour pushed the groups forward. You could literally see colleagues taking on tasks, discovering strengths and finding solutions together — exactly what makes our Murder Mystery Geocaching an ideal team building experience in Wilhelmshaven.
After exactly three hours all teams returned to Grenzstraße for the awards ceremony. Spirits were high as the scores were announced: the winners were team Rumbombe with 285 points, followed by DIE WAKOS with 240 points and Nummer 2 in third place with 105 points. A warm round of applause for everyone rounded off the afternoon.
It was an afternoon full of excitement, laughter and shared successes — a perfect example of how city exploration and a team building experience in Wilhelmshaven can come together. I am already looking forward to the next time we go out clue hunting in Wilhelmshaven.
