Cologne impresses with its historic charm and lively atmosphere – ideal for exciting experiences in the heart of the city.
As a CityHunters team guide, I had the pleasure of leading a Murder Mystery Geocaching for the company Carglass GmbH on August 1, 2025 at 11:30 a.m. The twelve participants met as agreed at Theo-Burauen-Platz, were warmly welcomed and after a short introduction divided into three teams. The mood was upbeat and expectant from the start – perfect conditions for a team building experience in Cologne.
Equipped with tablets and our special app, the teams set off: the app led the investigators to various locations where tricky puzzles, team tasks and detective work awaited. The teams operated independently during the tour and competed in friendly rivalry for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative, speedy teamwork – exactly the mix that makes a team building experience in Cologne so effective.
Along the way the groups discovered well-known sites like Cologne Cathedral, the Hohenzollern Bridge and the Museum Ludwig from a new perspective. Many little aha moments and shared successes led to loud cheers and lots of laughter. The weather was pleasant and accompanied us nicely – neither too hot nor stormy, which added to the fun.
I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case questions or technical hurdles arose. The teams mastered the tasks confidently and showed great commitment, communication and creativity – exactly what a good team building experience in Cologne achieves.
After exactly three hours we met again at Theo-Burauen-Platz for the joint awards ceremony. It was a lovely finale: recognition for clever minds, plenty of laughter and a proud look at what had been accomplished together. This Murder Mystery Geocaching remains a vivid experience for everyone involved, offering fun and strengthening team spirit – a successful example of a team building experience in Cologne.
