Team Building Event Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Baden-Württemberg
Our event concept combines Geocaching, tricky puzzles and city exploration into an exciting team building experience.
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of welcoming 92 participants from the Kassenärztliche Vereinigung Baden-Württemberg at Universitätsplatz in Heidelberg on July 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM. After a brief introduction to the schedule and the technology, the groups were split into 14 teams and equipped with the CityHunters app and all necessary information. The anticipation was tangible — this is what a successful team building experience in Heidelberg looks like.
Then the tour began: the teams set off on their own, followed coordinates, cracked puzzles and completed creative team challenges. Along the way there were many lovely views of Heidelberg, including sights of Heidelberg Castle, the Old Bridge and the Church of the Holy Spirit. The mix of city exploration and playful competition made for a dynamic experience — genuine team building experience in Heidelberg that put collaboration and fun at the center.
During the two hours the groups operated independently; I stayed reachable by phone to help with questions or technical issues. The tasks demanded keen observation, problem-solving and, not least, good communication within the teams. It was wonderful to see colleagues working together to find solutions and encouraging one another — exactly what we aim to achieve with our approach: sustainable team building experience in Heidelberg.
When time was up everyone met back at Universitätsplatz for the awards ceremony. The weather held, the atmosphere was exuberant and excited. First place went to Team 13 with 285 points, closely followed by Team 11 with 255 points and Team 7 in third with 240 points. Applause for all involved — every group showed their strengths and contributed to the success of the day.
Events like this are more than a game: they bring employees together, create memories and open new perspectives on the beautiful city of Heidelberg. I’m already looking forward to the next time we roam the streets together and write new stories while Geocaching.
