Team Building Event Zürich Beteiligungs AG
As a team guide for CityHunters, I had the pleasure of leading a great Geocaching event for the employees of Zürich Beteiligungs AG on June 26, 2025. We met on Deutzer Allee in Cologne, where I welcomed everyone at 4:30 PM and gave a brief introduction to the schedule. The atmosphere was energetic from the start — perfect conditions for a real team building experience in Cologne.
We split the group into twelve teams and equipped each team with our tablets and the CityHunters app. After a short briefing the teams set off on their own, competing to score the most points. At various stations they solved puzzles and tackled creative team tasks, which called for both problem solving and cooperation. I stayed reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues came up.
The weather cooperated and made the walk through the city even more enjoyable. The teams discovered well-known and lesser-known corners of Cologne: short stops at Cologne Cathedral, views of the Hohenzollern Bridge and impressions around Museum Ludwig were part of the program. Shared experiences like these not only strengthen collaboration but also create memories that last — exactly what good team building experience in Cologne is all about.
After 2 hours and 45 minutes all groups met back at Deutzer Allee for the awards ceremony. The scores showed how close the competition was: the win went to team Rheinauhafen with 270 points, closely followed by Tanzmariechen with 270 points as well. In third place was 1. FC Cologne with 240 points. The award ceremony was a cheerful finale, with successes celebrated and anecdotes exchanged.
This event once again proved that Geocaching combines adventure with communication, creativity and fun — an ideal combination for any team building event. Anyone wanting to experience Cologne in a different way will find plenty of variety and a real team building experience with Geocaching. I am already looking forward to the next tour through this vibrant city!
