Team Building Event Accenture
Our Geocaching event blends puzzle fun, a spirit of discovery and a bit of competition — the perfect concept for a team building experience in Vienna. On May 23, 2025 at 11:15 a.m., 137 motivated Accenture participants met me, the CityHunters team guide, at Schottenring, ready for a lively tour of the city.
After a brief welcome and an introduction to the schedule and the app, the 20 teams set off. Each team received the digital route and tasks, then set out independently to compete for the highest score. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and creatively completing team tasks — teamwork, creativity and clear communication paid off. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case of technical questions or uncertainties.
The route took teams past well-known and unexpected spots: Vienna landmarks such as St. Stephen's Cathedral, the Hofburg and the Kunsthistorisches Museum were prominent checkpoints, while hidden corners and pleasant surprises awaited elsewhere. In that way the activity naturally became an intensive team building experience in Vienna — shared aha moments, quick debates over solutions and lots of laughter included.
The good weather helped lift spirits even more. After roughly 3.25 hours all groups returned to the starting point at Schottenring for the award ceremony. Team 10 celebrated first place with 330 points. Close behind, Team 7 finished second with 300 points, and Team 5 took third with 285 points. The ceremony was a joyful finale where successes were celebrated and experiences exchanged.
As a team guide I never tire of seeing how much Geocaching brings people together: it is an active team building experience in Vienna, makes the city feel new and leaves a lasting shared memory. For anyone looking for an effective, entertaining team building event, I highly recommend trying this format — and I would be very happy to run it again with CityHunters.
