Team Building Event SAP SE

The weather was perfect that afternoon — sunny, mild and ideal for exploring the city.

As a CityHunters team guide, I led a Geocaching event for six people from SAP SE in Heidelberg on May 14, 2025 at 5:00 PM. We met at University Square, where I welcomed the group and explained the procedure. After a short briefing the participants received their tablets with the CityHunters app, and the excitement for the upcoming tour rose immediately.

The teams then set off on their own through the Old Town, in the spirit of a team building experience in Heidelberg. The challenges combined puzzles, tricky clues and creative team tasks: from small logic puzzles to assignments that required communication and creativity. The stations took the groups to well known spots such as Heidelberg Castle, the Old Bridge and the Church of the Holy Spirit — perfect backdrops for shared successes and plenty of high spirits.

During the tour the teams were largely on their own and competed in good-natured rivalry for the most points. I was reachable by phone at all times in case any technical questions or uncertainties arose. It is precisely this mix of independent discovery and reliable support that makes our concept for a team building experience in Heidelberg so valuable: you face challenges together, build trust and, above all, have fun.

After two hours everyone met again at University Square for the award ceremony. The tension was palpable as the results were announced: the winner of the evening was team SAP Tigers with 225 points — warm applause and well deserved congratulations followed. Moments like these show how lasting a positive team building experience in Heidelberg can be.

For me as a guide these tours are inspiring every time: one can see how groups grow together, how laughter and team spirit develop and how the city itself becomes a unifying experience. Anyone curious about a varied mix of city exploration, puzzle fun and team development will find exactly the right thing with CityHunters — right in Heidelberg.
