Mannheim impresses with its intriguing mix of history, culture and urban charm – the perfect backdrop for a team building experience in Mannheim.
As a CityHunters team guide I led an iPad Tour on April 3, 2025 at 1:00 PM for 13 employees of Bradler GmbH. The meeting point was Dalbergplatz, where I warmly welcomed the group and introduced them to how the iPads and the CityHunters App work. After a short briefing the participants were split into two teams and handed their devices – then the adventure could begin.
The teams were largely on their own and set off through the city in competitive spirits. The route took them to well-known spots like Mannheim Palace, the Kunsthalle Mannheim and the Nationaltheater Mannheim, where tricky puzzles and creative team tasks awaited. The CityHunters App connected the groups and displayed the scores in real time – a real highlight for the team building experience in Mannheim.
The contest revolved around collaborative problem solving, communication and clever strategies: points were awarded for correct answers, creative implementations and successfully completed team challenges. I stayed reachable by phone throughout the tour to help with questions or technical issues, without disturbing the dynamic between the teams.
The weather cooperated, the mood was great and the focus was clearly on fun and togetherness. The team building experience in Mannheim showed its best side that day: colleagues laughed, tackled puzzles and got to know one another in entirely new ways.
After exactly three hours everyone met again at Dalbergplatz for the award ceremony. Our winning team was Icebreaker with 360 points. In second place came Die Auserwählten, also with 360 points. The joy over shared experiences and the positive energy at the end of the event were the most rewarding outcomes for me as a guide.
