Team Building Event Innovasystems
Eleven participants from Innovasystems met on 28 March 2025 at 3:00 pm for an exciting iPad Murder Mystery Tour — a successful start to our team building experience in Balve.
As team guide I welcomed the group at Pizzeria–Ristorante da Piccolo on Hönnetalstraße. After a short briefing on the CityHunters app and an introduction to using the iPads, the participants were divided into three teams. With map view and location display on the tablets, the teams set off to solve tricky cases and complete tasks together.
The route took us through Balve's charming alleys past notable stops such as Balver Höhle, the church of St. Blasius and the historic Luisenhütte Wocklum. These places served as the backdrop for puzzles, observation tasks and team challenges. The teams were left to their own devices and competed in a friendly contest for the most points — I was reachable by phone in case technical help was needed.
The game is simple and motivating: points for correct answers, creativity and teamwork. It quickly became clear how well communication, role distribution and joint decision-making work — classic aspects of successful team building, made tangible here as a team building experience in Balve. The weather cooperated, so the tour was sunny and upbeat.
After two hours everyone met again at our starting point for the awards ceremony. In first place was Team 1 Karsten with 90 points, followed by Team 3 Niclas with 70 points and Team 2 Frederick with 60 points. The atmosphere during the debrief was jubilant and proud — clear proof of how much fun solving puzzles and exploring together can be.
For me, team building experience in Balve means puzzling, laughing and rediscovering the town together. Whether Balver Höhle, St. Blasius or the Luisenhütte — experiences like these create long-lasting connections among colleagues. I am already looking forward to the next tour and more companies who want to experience Balve in this lively way.
