Team Building Event Ball Corporation
As a CityHunters team guide I got to lead a lively iPad Tour on October 16, 2024 at 5:30 p.m. for 19 colleagues from Ball Corporation in Barcelona. The meeting point was the Radisson Blu 1882 on Carrer de Còrsega in the charming Gràcia neighborhood, and from there our adventure began.
After a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters App, participants were split into three teams. The mix of history, culture and modern technology immediately sparked interest: interactive tasks, puzzles and creative challenges guided the groups through the city and made familiar spots feel new. It is precisely this combination that makes our team building event so special and that promotes a genuine team building experience in Barcelona.
During the tour the teams were on their own and competed in a friendly contest. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for successful team tasks, and because the CityHunters App showed results in real time the suspense stayed high until the end. I remained reachable by phone the whole time in case any questions or technical issues arose.
The route passed iconic Barcelona sights such as the Sagrada Família, Park Güell and the bustling La Rambla, turning the game into a little city discovery. In just two hours the teams were able to demonstrate how well they collaborate, think strategically and find their way around the urban environment. A perfect example of an effective team building experience in Barcelona.
Back at the Radisson Blu 1882 all groups gathered for the award ceremony. With 135 points Team Bravo won decisively and received well-deserved medals. Team Sarma came in second with 130 points, and Team Canters took third with 70 points. The weather played along—sunny and inviting—which added to the positive atmosphere.
