Team Building Event MaibornWolff GmbH
The 29 participants from MaibornWolff GmbH met on 14 October 2024 at 3:15 PM for our Geocaching event in Dresden — ready for a varied mix of puzzles, fun and teamwork.
As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed the group at the meeting point Am Zwingerteich and gave a brief outline of the programme. After quick introductions and splitting into five teams, the groups received the key clues and the equipment they needed for their tour through the city centre. The excitement was palpable, the weather cooperated, and we were able to kick off our team building experience in Dresden with plenty of energy.
Along the route through Dresden the teams discovered well-known sights such as the Zwinger, the Frauenkirche and the Semperoper, as well as many hidden corners in between. Each team was on its own during the tour, competing in a friendly contest to score the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for completing team tasks together — creativity, strong communication and good powers of observation were required. I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed assistance.
The atmosphere was consistently positive: laughter, heads bent over clues and genuine teamwork shaped the afternoon. To me this is what makes a great team building experience in Dresden — sharing an experience, supporting one another and seeing the city from a fresh perspective. The mix of discovery, small challenges and competition produced many aha moments and lasting memories.
After exactly three hours all teams reconvened at the starting point Am Zwingerteich for the award ceremony. First place went to team Schicke Schecken with 375 points, who proudly received their medals. Second place went to FOODCOMA with 360 points, and third place to Blind Hunters with 330 points. The mood at the ceremony was exuberant and full of appreciation for every team.
For me it was another fine example of how Geocaching and shared challenges can come together in a team building experience in Dresden: exciting, bonding and memorable. I am already looking forward to the next event and to guiding more groups through this fascinating city.
