Team Building Event Vonovia SE
Bochum impresses with its blend of industrial history and vibrant culture – from the German Mining Museum and the Schauspielhaus to the town hall, the city's variety is palpable.
On October 10, 2024 at 2:45 PM I had the pleasure of welcoming the Vonovia SE group at Dr.-Ruer-Platz as a CityHunters team guide. After a brief introduction we split into two small teams and I explained the format and rules. Each participant received a tablet with the CityHunters app preinstalled so everyone could start the tour well prepared.
The starting signal was given promptly, and soon the teams were off exploring Bochum. This Geocaching event was not just about finding your way, but above all about solving puzzles together and working creatively as a group – a true team building experience in Bochum. Puzzles, team challenges and small tasks were spread across the city center, bringing plenty of energy and laughs.
During the tour the teams were largely on their own, competing in a friendly rivalry. Points were awarded for correctly solved tasks, clever combinations and strong teamwork. I remained reachable by phone throughout in case of technical questions or quick clarifications, so each group felt supported without losing its independent momentum.
The weather cooperated, and the good mood helped everyone tackle even the trickier tasks. Along the way the teams kept spotting interesting corners of the city: from the Mining Museum to the Christuskirche to the Schauspielhaus, familiar and hidden Bochum spots were discovered. All of this made the team building experience in Bochum a thoroughly successful one.
After three hours everyone met again at Dr.-Ruer-Platz for the award ceremony. The winning team Accounting Hunters took home the victory with 390 points, followed by Starlight with 270 points. As a nice memento each participant received a personalized certificate.
It was an impressive afternoon full of team spirit, fun and discoveries.
