Team Building Event Boehringer Ingelheim
31 enthusiastic colleagues from Boehringer Ingelheim met punctually today for the iPad Tour in Leipzig — a perfect start to a lively team building event.
As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed the group at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Augustusplatz and at 1:45 p.m. gave a brief introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters App. After a short briefing the participants were split into six teams and equipped with their iPads, and the adventure began.
Our iPad Tour combines history, culture and modern technology and is therefore an ideal format for a team building experience in Leipzig. The teams moved independently through the city, explored areas around the University of Leipzig, St. Thomas Church and St. Nicholas Church, and solved interactive challenges at various stations. The CityHunters App displayed scores in real time and enabled a motivating live chat between the groups.
The atmosphere was at once relaxed and focused: strategy, creativity and team spirit were needed to crack puzzles and complete team tasks. I was reachable by phone throughout the tour in case anyone needed help, but I deliberately let the teams find their own solutions — exactly what makes a good team building experience in Leipzig.
After about 1.75 hours all groups met again at the Radisson Blu Hotel at Augustusplatz for a joint award ceremony. The weather cooperated, the sun lifted everyone’s spirits and provided a fitting finale. On the winners podium today were: 1st place — Team Nanana batman with 125 points, 2nd place — Team Winners with 120 points, and 3rd place — Team Village people also with 120 points. A close and exciting result.
It was a great pleasure to see colleagues growing closer, laughing and finding creative solutions together. Our iPad Tour is more than a city exploration: it is an interactive experience that makes team building in Leipzig tangible and leaves a lasting impression long after the event.
