Team Building Event Gymnasium der Stadt Rahden
In brilliant sunshine we kicked off our Murder Mystery Geocaching today and could hardly have chosen a better day for an active team building event.
At Bielefeld central station I, as the team guide, met 61 curious participants from the school. After a brief welcome and introduction, the groups were divided into nine teams and equipped with tablets – the app guided the investigators to the various cases. This made Bielefeld come alive in a completely new way: familiar places became crime scenes and mysteries invited everyone to search for clues.
The teams set off on their own and competed in a friendly contest to earn the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team challenges. Technology met adventure: the digital tool displayed the next stops while the groups collected clues, analyzed evidence and rediscovered locally known places. I was available by phone throughout the tour to assist with questions or technical issues.
Our route passed several of Bielefeld’s notable sights, including the Sparrenburg, the Kunsthalle Bielefeld and the Neustädter Marienkirche. These locations not only provided exciting backdrops for the cases but also added to the special charm of this team building event. Time and again it was clear how solving the tasks together strengthened team spirit – a true team building experience in Bielefeld that is fun and brings people together.
After three hours of play all teams met again at Bielefeld central station for the award ceremony. Team Rowling narrowly won with 300 points; team Chandler came in second, also with 300 points, and Wallaca delüks took third with 285 points. The atmosphere was jubilant and full of pride in the teams’ achievements.
This experience once again showed what effective team building in Bielefeld can look like: exciting puzzles, shared successes and plenty of good cheer. I am already looking forward to the next Murder Mystery Geocaching and to inspiring more groups for team building experiences in Bielefeld.
