Team Building Event BAUHAUS AG
Mannheim delights with its lively blend of history, culture and unexpected corners – a perfect setting for our Murder Mystery Geocaching. On September 24, 2024 at 3:00 pm I, as a CityHunters team guide, welcomed a group of 18 participants from BAUHAUS AG at Dalbergplatz.
After a brief introduction we split the group into three teams and equipped each crew with a tablet. Using the app the teams set off on the trail: well-known spots such as Mannheim Palace, Kunsthalle Mannheim and the National Theatre Mannheim became the crime scenes of exciting cases. Technology met adventure as the app led the groups to stations, offered clues and presented tricky puzzles to solve together.
During the tour the teams moved independently and competed against each other in a friendly atmosphere. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles and successfully completed team tasks – real challenges that demanded communication, creativity and cohesion. I remained reachable by phone in case any questions or technical issues came up.
The weather played along and the mood was both lively and focused. Many moments showed how a team building experience in Mannheim can emerge naturally: colleagues discovered strengths, supported one another and laughed together at surprising twists in the cases. This is how city exploration becomes a true team building experience in Mannheim.
After exactly three hours all teams met again at Dalbergplatz for the awards. Congratulations to the winning team Team3 with 210 points, closely followed by Halloween also with 210 points. Bronze went to Die fantastischen 5 with 180 points. Endings like this are always special: recognition, applause and a brief exchange about the most exciting finds around sights such as the Jesuit Church or the Reiss‑Engelhorn Museums.
The event once again showed what effective team building experience in Mannheim can look like: exciting, energizing and full of shared successes. As a team guide I am already looking forward to the next cases and to more groups who want to discover Mannheim in this new, experiential way.
