Team Building Event Nintendo of Europe SE
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of leading a fantastic Geocaching event for 15 participants from Nintendo of Europe SE in Frankfurt on 19 September 2024. We met on the north side of the Eiserner Steg at the Mainkai, where I welcomed everyone and gave a brief rundown of the plan. After a short introduction the participants were divided into four teams and equipped with the CityHunters app on tablets — then the adventure began.
In bright sunshine each team set off on its own to complete the challenges in the old town and surrounding areas. Our Geocaching concept combined puzzle fun with exploration: tasks had to be solved, team challenges coordinated and hidden clues uncovered. It required not only brainpower but also communication and creativity — exactly the ingredients we love for a successful team building experience in Frankfurt.
The route took teams past well-known sights and revealed small, charming corners of the city. Landmarks such as the Römer, the Kaiserdom St. Bartholomäus and the Alte Oper provided striking backdrops for the challenges and created many aha moments. I remained available by phone in case any questions or technical issues arose, so everyone could continue having fun with confidence.
After two and a half hours everyone met back at the north side of the Eiserner Steg for the awards ceremony. The tension rose as the points were announced: the winners were the team Römer with 330 points, followed by Appleboy with 225 points and Goethe with 210 points. The joy over the shared successes was palpable and once again showed how effective a team building experience in Frankfurt can be.
Events like this combine active experiences with team dynamics — ideal for companies looking to bring colleagues closer together in a relaxed, inspiring atmosphere. It was a very successful afternoon that put both the city and the team spirit at the center. I am already looking forward to the next team building event and more exciting discoveries in Frankfurt.
