Team Building Event Thomann GmbH
The concept of our CityHunters Geocaching event combines fun, curiosity and team spirit into an intense experience — ideal for a team building experience in Bamberg. On 13 September 2024 at 12:00 I had the pleasure of welcoming 45 people from Thomann GmbH at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswörth and giving a brief overview of the schedule.
After a short introduction the groups received the equipment and instructions for the CityHunters app: tablets with the tour preinstalled, explanations of the scoring system, and details about the tasks. Participants were divided into seven teams and set off well prepared on the route through the city centre.
Our Geocaching tour led the teams past well-known sights such as Bamberg Cathedral, the Old Town Hall and the Benedictine monastery at Michelsberg — perfect stops to combine a team building experience in Bamberg with cultural highlights. At each stop there were tricky puzzles and varied team tasks that required both brains and cooperation.
Throughout the tour the teams were on their own and competed against each other in a friendly contest. Points were awarded for correctly solving the puzzles and creatively completing the tasks. I was available by phone to answer questions so every group could keep moving. The weather was fine and provided pleasant conditions that added to the cheerful atmosphere.
After three hours all teams met again at the Tourist Information at Schloss Geyerswörth for the awards ceremony. The winning team Leggin secured first place with 375 points, followed by Auf die eins with 360 points and T Chillen with 345 points. The joy over the shared experiences and the fair, sporting competition was clearly palpable.
Events like this show how effective a team building experience in Bamberg can be: shared challenges, shared successes and the discovery of a charming city come together. I am already looking forward to the next Geocaching adventure in Bamberg and to more companies who want to explore new approaches to team building experiences with us.
