Team Building Event Bezirk Schwaben
Augsburg repeatedly shows its charming side, full of history, lively squares and surprising corners.
As a CityHunters team guide I had the pleasure of welcoming a Murder Mystery Geocaching event on September 12, 2024 at 10:00 AM for 18 colleagues from the district of Swabia at Elias-Holl-Platz. After a brief introduction each team received a tablet with our special app that displayed the cases and crime scenes around the city. That was the start of an exciting team building event that sparked a true sense of discovery.
The group was split into three teams and set off with the goal of earning as many points as possible by solving tricky puzzles and completing shared tasks. During the tour the teams were on their own and experienced Augsburg’s sights from a fresh perspective: from the historic Fuggerei to the impressive Augsburg Town Hall and the Cathedral of Our Lady. The combination of puzzles and navigation provided plenty of fun and real team spirit.
I remained reachable by phone throughout the game in case of questions or technical issues. The teams used their tablets to gather clues, analyze traces and tackle challenges that required both brainpower and cooperation. This showed how effective a team building experience in Augsburg can be: short strategy huddles formed, roles emerged and morale stayed high.
The weather was fine — not too hot and with a pleasant breeze, so exploring the city was a real pleasure. After exactly three hours we met back at Elias-Holl-Platz for the awards ceremony. The tension was tangible as the points were added up.
The winners were Team Orange with 225 points, followed by Team WinWin with 210 points. In third place came Knallerbsen with 165 points. At the wrap-up it became clear that this Murder Mystery Geocaching had not only provided entertainment but also fostered genuine cohesion.
A team building experience in Augsburg can hardly be staged any better — whether tracing clues around the Augsburg Puppet Theatre or discovering the city’s Historic Water Management system. I’m already looking forward to next time when we solve exciting cases together and see the city in a new light.
