Team Building Event EVOSYS LASER GMBH
Under bright sunshine we kicked off our Murder Mystery Geocaching day in Erlangen — perfect conditions for suspense, puzzles and team spirit.
As the team guide I welcomed nine participants from EVOSYS LASER GMBH at Hugenottenplatz on September 6, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. After a short briefing the nine colleagues were split into three teams and shown how to use the app on the tablet that would lead them on the city's Scavenger Hunt.
The concept blends technology and adventure: the tablets displayed the next crime scenes, offered puzzles and team challenges, and helped plan the route through familiar spots. Locations like Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nuremberg, the Botanical Garden Erlangen and the Huguenot Church became the exciting backdrop for our shared Murder Mystery experience.
During the roughly three-hour tour the teams were on their own and competed against each other in good spirit. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and successfully completing team challenges — speed and cooperation counted equally. I was available by phone for the entire time in case of technical questions or task clarifications.
It was great to see how team building experience in Erlangen came to life: colleagues who normally work in different setups solved tricky tasks together, made strategic decisions and strengthened their cohesion. Joy, interaction and mutual support shaped the atmosphere.
After exactly three hours all teams met again at Hugenottenplatz for the awards ceremony. With beaming faces we announced the rankings: the winner was the team A-Team with 255 points, followed by Die aller Gejutsten with 225 points. In third place was team Evosys with 165 points. There was great joy over shared successes and many small anecdotes from the tour.
This Murder Mystery Geocaching event once again showed how effective a team building experience in Erlangen can be: it combines shared adventure, collaboration and discovering the city into an unforgettable experience. I am already looking forward to the next adventure together in Erlangen!
