Team Building Event Oberlausitz Kliniken
Seventeen dedicated colleagues from the Oberlausitz Clinics met on 04.09.2024 at 3:30 pm at the Reichenturm in Bautzen, ready for an exciting adventure through the old town. As the CityHunters team guide I welcomed the group warmly and gave a brief rundown of the plan before dividing the participants into three teams.
After a short introduction to the iPads and the CityHunters app we set off: each person received a tablet with a map view and position marker, along with the first clues to the criminal cases waiting to be solved around the town. The tour combined digital puzzle fun with city exploration — a perfect combination for a team building experience in Bautzen.
The teams wandered through the alleys on their own, passing sights such as St. Peter's Cathedral, the Ortenburg and the House of the Sorbs. Tasks ranged from tricky puzzles to creative team challenges that demanded communication and cooperation. Thanks to the app’s real-time features each team could keep an eye on their score and the friendly competition was palpable.
I remained reachable by phone throughout the tour in case any questions or technical issues came up. After two hours the app guided everyone back to the Reichenturm, where we reviewed the results together. The atmosphere was jubilant and full of pride over what had been achieved — and then the surprise: the winning team Krimischwestern took first place with 0 points. An unusual result, but it did nothing to dampen the fun or the sense of community.
This experience once again showed how effective a team building experience in Bautzen can be: the mix of suspense, local history and cooperative challenges strengthens camaraderie and opens up new perspectives on the city of Bautzen.
