Team Building Event Controlware
The weather in Mannheim that evening was just perfect: sunny, mild and ideal for an exciting evening tour through the city.
As a team guide for CityHunters I welcomed 41 enthusiastic colleagues from Controlware on September 4, 2024 at 7:00 pm. The meeting point was in front of the entrance to the Youth Hostel Mannheim on the Rhine promenade. After a short introduction and dividing into seven teams we kicked off our interactive Murder Mystery Geocaching, a true highlight for anyone wanting a team building experience in Mannheim.
Armed with tablets and our custom app the teams set off on the trail. The app led the groups to various crime scenes around Mannheim, where tricky puzzles and team challenges awaited. At well-known spots like Mannheim Palace, the Kunsthalle Mannheim and the National Theatre Mannheim we set up exciting investigation stations that invited participants to think and cooperate.
Over the three hours the teams were on their own, competing in a friendly contest for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solved puzzles, successful team tasks and creative clue-hunting. I was reachable by phone during the tour to help with questions and minor issues, but most challenges were solved independently by the teams with great spirit.
Murder Mystery Geocaching combined hands-on fun with strengthening team cohesion: communication, role distribution and quick decision-making were required. That very mix is what makes our team building experience in Mannheim so valuable for companies looking for both enjoyment and development.
After exactly three hours everyone reconvened at the entrance to the Youth Hostel Mannheim on the Rhine promenade for the award ceremony. With pleasure and a touch of excitement I announced the standings: first place went to the Powergirls with 255 points, followed by Black Pearl with 195 points and Team One with 180 points.
It was a thoroughly successful evening full of enthusiasm and positive energy. Anyone looking for a team building experience in Mannheim should take note of this interactive format — it combines city discovery with playful competition and genuine team development benefits.
