Team Building Event Stadt Essen

The sun was shining over Essen, putting the city in the best light – perfect weather for an active, cheerful team building event.

As the CityHunters team guide I met the six participants from the City of Essen at Burgplatz at 1:30 PM. After a brief welcome and introduction we explained how things would run, handed out the tablets with the preinstalled app and made the final preparations. Then we set off: a compact, exciting and discovery-filled team building experience in Essen.

The teams were left to their own devices during the tour and competed in friendly rivalry for the most points. Points were awarded for correctly solving puzzles and for creative team tasks – a great way to see how well communication, inventiveness and joint decision-making work. I stayed reachable by phone throughout in case any technical questions or coordination needs arose.

The route took the groups across the city center and offered many lovely sights: impressions at the Essen Minster, short stops at the Museum Folkwang and a visit to the old synagogue – the mix of culture, architecture and hidden spots made the experience varied. The team building experience in Essen became a journey of discovery where every contribution mattered.

After three hours all teams returned to Burgplatz for the joint award ceremony. The atmosphere was jubilant, the results received applause and a few small surprises. Solving tasks together and cheering one another on had strengthened the team spirit – exactly what a team building experience in Essen aims to achieve.

As a guide these tours are always a pleasure: you see colleagues surpass themselves, laugh together and discover new sides of their city. If you want to experience Essen in a different way and strengthen team dynamics, Geocaching is a sustainable format. I look forward to the next event and to more groups eager to experience team building in Essen.
